Labour was the hardest but most awesome experience ever.  I discovered places in me that I never knew existed...  Little Leo is a darling, so relaxed.  Breastfeeding is also going well.
Thank you for all the positive energy that you added to my pregnancy.

Theoni's pregnancy yoga classes were the best thing I could have done during my pregnancy! It was fun, informative and encouraging, making my pregnancy & how I felt about myself during that time a great experience. Not only did I learn so much, but it gave me the strength and tools to help me through labour and the birth. The classes are a great place to make new friends and interact with other women who are also pregnant - I learnt more from this class than I did from my antenatal class.

Theoni helped me immensely on my wonderful journey through pregnancy with her soothing weekly yoga classes. Although I had practiced Ashtanga yoga before my pregnancy, I didn’t realise the benefits of the breath-work and stillness of Theoni’s classes until I was in my final month of carrying my gorgeous son. I am very thankful too to have had Theoni as my Doula at my son’s home birth – her presence allowed my husband to give me his full attention, which I absolutely needed!

There was something very special about doing pregnancy yoga. It changed how I viewed my body - from a physical presence to a spiritual vessel carrying a life that was so precious. The classes created a meaningful communication between me and my unborn child - and after she was born - that bond was reinforced through our continued yoga practice together.

Theoni’s knowledge, wisdom and experience in pregnancy and birth make her pregnancy Yoga classes unique and extremely special.  Not only was it a wonderful source of physical, mental, emotional  and spiritual therapy for me, but the information and support that Theoni offered made it a priceless experience.  It is a must for every expectant mother!

With a two year old and a four month renovation project that was still a work in progress a year later, the yoga classes were a boon for relaxation and a time for me to focus solely on the little soul growing inside me. The classes relaxed me and left me revitalized to face the week clear headed and in touch with the person inside me. At the birth, Theoni was indispensable. She read me physically and emotionally and knew how to cater for what I needed without me having to ask.

Those weekly yoga classes were such a gift to me and my baby - what a beautiful way to start her life and to connect.  I am always conscious of what a difference it has made to our relationship that we were able to connect so deeply during pregnancy.  When she was born she already felt so familiar! I highly recommend pregnancy yoga. It was a great gathering on a weekly basis of pregnant women who had the same concern as me or maybe other concerns which if happened to me at a later stage, I knew how to handle. The greatest benefit was the relaxation and visualization exercises at the end of the session which allowed me to release past fears, make peace with my previous birthing experience and visualize new possibilities. I am convinced that because of that exercise I had this time a great birthing experience. A pity I am too old otherwise I would do it again !

I wish all the pregnant moms I know / have known, would do preggie yoga.  Each week it was a chance to just be with, and connect to my unborn child.  Of course all the preggie chit chat, and the long term friendships I formed in those 6 months were just part of the gift that Theoni created for me through her classes.

Being pregnant was by far one of my most favourite times of my life! I was lead to Theoni's yoga classes for pregnant women by a good friend of mine. I thank the universe for this a million times. The yoga not only helped to balance me and the raging hormones but it was a true sanctuary to which I could come every Tuesday and be amongst other women who I could identify with and share with. For one and a half hours I could completely escape the chaos around me and go to the most beautiful place with the help of Theoni. I found the talks before the class started to be another life line and I have made friends from the classes that I know will remain my friends for a long time. But this is not the main reason I thank the universe so much for leading there. The primary reason is that through Theoni's amazing encouragement I got to have the most incredible birth experience - the one which I had been yearning for but didn’t have the courage to stand up against the "peanut gallery" and demand. I also had so much courage in my labour and in giving birth and I credit that largely to learning to go within. I managed a magnificent 23 hours of labour with grace and a calmness I don't believe I would not have had were it not for the yoga classes!

I so look forward to my Monday evening Yoga classes – this is the first time that I don’t dread going to an ‘exercise class’ and I am really upset when I can’t make the class.  The yoga session really sets me up for my week; it’s me time and also time spent with like minded people and other pregnant mums.
I have never done yoga before and was encouraged by my husband to attend the class.  I am now hooked and will definitely continue after our baby is born.  I love the stretching and breathing exercises and also the meditation and relaxation time.  I am able to connect with my inner self and my baby during this time.  I also experience that I take this ability with me when I leave and use the breathing and mantras when I am feeling fearful, tired, happy or peaceful during the week.
I am looking forward to the birth experience and I will definitely use what I learn each week to make the day as comfortable and calming for my baby and myself.
