The African Baby Carrier's ( ABC) ergonomic design supports a correct sitting position for the baby's hip, pelvis and spine growth. It disperses most of the baby's weight between the hips and thighs, which helps to eliminate compression of the spine when hanging by the crotch which most other structured carriers require.

The ABC also balances the baby's weight across the parents' hips and shoulders, making it very comfortable for the wearer. Other great features include:

I hated the carrier that I had for Ruby, it was full of hard bits and plastic toggles that hurt her underarms. Then I bought an African baby carrier when Ruby was 5.5 months old and it was a godsend! It's so easy to remove a sleeping baby from so I often used it to put her to sleep. For about a year I used it almost daily. It's also soft with no hard bits that can chafe. I have been using the African Baby Carrier for 10 months now and my husband and I love it.  I use it around the house when baba needs me to be close to her but when I have too much to do.  We have also used it on many hikes and beach walks.  The waist support makes it very comfortable.
